The fertile Nile has nourished ancient civilisations, inspiring art and hieroglyphics over millennia and continues to inspire today.

This collection of seamless textile prints was inspired by exploring the treasure trove of artefacts found in the Metropolitan Museum of Arts collection of ancient Egyptian art. I was completely fascinated and by over 25,000 objects of artistic, historic and cultural significance, from pottery, sarcophagi, statuary to jewellery.

Egyptian symbols and motifs, through constant reimagining, have added ornament to pyramids, temples and tombs in the ancient world, and to skyscrapers during the 20th Century.
