The second in a series of designs inspired by the beautiful architectural ornament at Bethesda Terrace in New York’s Central Park. Since I first visited New York I have always been drawn to this spot and am always charmed by the varying carved designs decorating the stone pillars. I hope you’ll enjoy these designs as much as I do.

You will see the stone carved panel which inspired this design, my preliminary sketching and the final design colored with a scheme similar to oxidized copper.
